About Queen Craft

Hi I’m Laura the owner of Queen Craft.

Queen Craft is a small independent business, which I run from the kitchen of my own home, making scented candles, greetings cards and much more.
I started my hand made business at the age of 21, making greetings cards and selling them door to door after working with each day. I was working with horses as an apprentice at the time, but on an apprentice  wage and having to pay for rent and a car, I needed a little extra income!
As time went on, I got busier and busier with my business and customers were starting to comment that it would be a great idea if I did gifts to do with the cards. I started making scented candles too and before long, I cut down my hours with the horses, so run Queen Craft as a full time business.

I absolutely love what I do, and this way I can support some brilliant charities which are close to my heart, such as the Riding for the Disabled Association based in Nottingham and Hope Pastures horse & donkey rescue centre, based in Leeds. ‘Where are you based?’ is a question I hear a lot of the time. Although born and bred in Nottingham, I currently live in Leeds 4 days a week and I’m back in my home town every Friday & Weekends. This is only until the summer, whilst my partner is at University, but after then, we may possibly come back to Nottingham full time. When I’m not making candles or cards, I spend most of my time down at the stables, looking after my horse Parker. He’s a 17.2 Irish Sports Horse and I’ve had him for 3 years now. We enjoy show jumping and dressage and hacking out around the village. In the summer we like to go to the beach for a long weekend too!
